You’ll have all the same functions of the standard FiOS remote and then some!  You can change channels, manage parental controls, pause, rewind, fast forward or record a TV show - all through the cell phone.

That’s not all.  With a touch of the handset’s screen, you can transfer one photo at a time from the handset to the TV or even view an entire slide show of photos stored on the mobile device.

Have a favorites list?  You can import it from the TV to the cell phone and then use the phone to select your favorite channels on any FiOS TV.  And don’t worry about turning down the volume when answering a call. ADT, already the largest alarm company in North America, is about to get even bigger.   ADT’s parent corporation Tyco International has announced it will be aquiring Broadview Security (formerly Brink’s) for a reported $2 Billion U.S. in cash and stock.  All existing Broadview accounts (commercial and residential) will be rebranded as ADT.  The transaction still needs to be approved by Broadview shareholders and government regulators, but should be official by mid-2010.  So the question is: how will this affect authorized dealers and clients of the two companies?
